Chris Dinan filled in for Katie Couric on today’s First Look. These are posted under the ‘News” tab above to give you a preview of the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. At about :40 secs into today’s video posted minutes ago, Dinan mentions the Campaign Notebook segment while vigorously adjusting something between his legs.

    At 00:18 he says pronounces “about” as “abote,” a likely sign he’s Canadian. Nevertheless, you’re right, by 00:40, he seems to be channeling someone from New Jersey: “I got your campaign notebook right HERE.”

    I’d never seen this First Look thing before, and it’s a real public service, because it saves you the trouble of watching the actual broadcast, and that’s a blessing.
