Setting up shop in the media room

by Christian Grantham - 10:31 am January 10, 2008

Last night, Vince let me order a light kit for the studio I’m setting up in the media room. The green screen is already hung and in place. Last weekend we made a silly test video using the green screen with Vince talking about little shirts and several bags of different doggie treats he’s gone through so far with Mimi and Trudy.

My biggest challenge with our new HD video camera is that it really needs a lot of good lighting. To shoot the test video, I literally had to open all the windows and use a powerful hallogen flood and four other lamps. You can see it still wasn’t enough. I’ll post some pictures of where the studio is being set up later tonight.

Once the lights come in, one of the first things I want to shoot is Mimi and Trudy spending time with us in the evening. It’s pretty much the only time we have with them through the week, and seeing them fall asleep on Vince is the cutest thing ever.

The doggies falling asleep on Vince is the cutest thing ever? Don’t tell that to Biscuit.

Awwww!! She’s just a baby puff of furs! After a week with the new pups, Biscuit REALLY seems big to us now. I think we still saw her as a tiny kitten. Just a few weeks ago we were wondering if she’d every grow. It just took a big change in persepctive, I guess.
