Twitter Must Die

Charles MacKay wrote in Extraordinary Popular Delusions & the Madness of Crowds (1852): “Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly and one by one.”

Yesterday I created the group Twitter Must Die on Facebook. People have to stand up to this service gobbling up people’s minds like a cyberspace mind gobbler or something. Everyday, like maybe 100 people become addicts to tweeting like twits on the internets using the Twitter.

After watching [kicks] David Lynch express his feelings about watching movies on the iPhone I was inspired to finally speak my mind in this video.

    I used to think Twitter was totally useless, but now I can see value in some situations.

    What I really rather see die is Facebook… do we really need another place to shackle our private data and sell us out to the highest bidder? And if even half of this stuff is true, I’m ten times more scared of Facebook than I was before:

    Fragmentation of protocols and proprietary interfaces are the wrong way to go.
