Eulogy meme

by Christian Grantham - 5:45 pm March 16, 2008

Aunt B. has another eulogy meme for WKRN, this one following the departure of our political blogger Adam Kleinheider. I responded there, so go chat it up. Her post comes as we launch the new WKRN.com and Nashville Is Talking.

I like the new wkrn.com (though your link to it doesn’t get you there), but I have a suggestion. Why not create second email addresses for the GM and department heads that are linked to on the contact page. That way, they’d be able to segregate regular business emails from public emails, but they’d be reachable by the general public. If they want to know what their viewers say and think, they ought to make themselves available by email. They could read and answer those public emails as little or as much as they like–though if I were in an executive position, I’d be reading them plenty and paying attention to what they say.

I’ll look into a better way to do that. When we did this before it didn’t quite work out that way. Blogs helped some with that, though.

I guess I’m kinda dense but how do you, on NiT, link back to the original site.

Durh, I haven’t figured that out yet. :)

Good job, CG. I hope you know I think that.

    I know you do Newscoma.

The site does take some getting used to. First, I link to blogs through my posts. Those appear on the right sidebar. If you click any of the headlines from aggregated blogs they link directly to the blog post’s permalink. It’s also linked under each aggregated post’s excerpt by clicking “Read the full post.”
