The Pinko Moon: first full moon of Spring
Things have been so crazy. AuntB and Kat Coble think the new TNDP logo looks like penises, testicles and a can of Pepsi. The AP is investigating their own YouTube channel. And American Idol’s Adam Lambert actually has a chance of convincing me to go buy a record player and start purchasing vinyl again.
It’s a very mad world.
The Wikipedia says today’s full moon is also known as the Pink Moon. It’s the first full moon of Spring. I can’t figure out if all the madness over the past couple of days is because of the full moon or if my attention to it has simply increased. Wikipedia says the moon has nothing to do with madness.
Wikipedia doesn’t live in Middle Tennessee, though, where woolly worms can somehow tell you how much snow to expect. We’re a proud people who are tied to our agrarian past. We look at the full moon and think to ourselves, “That’s it. I’m doing something crazy. C’mon!”
If you notice Pink Moon madness, #AMB links on Twitter for tomorrow’s show.

I like your explanation of a pink moon. I had never seen that before, but I di remebering asking what a Blue Moon was after seeing the movie Grease. As for the effect of lunar cycles on the mind and behavior, I have actually seen some legitimate research that shows a high (positive) correlation between lunar cycles and psychiatric admsiisions. One hypothesis is that the gravitational pull such as that which causes the tides to shift according to their proximity with the moon; also causes a similar shift in the human brain. I suppose I could some animal research to see if similar behavior oddities are noticed across species. But that would take time, and I still haven’t done my taxes! Have a good dayn enjoy the show!
