A teacher in Springfield, TN uses drywall for a chalkboard and needs our help

Yes, you read that right, and this teacher needs our help to purchase a reversible mobile easel. The teacher is $298 away from meeting her funding request, and every penny you give will be matched by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Here’s more from Mrs. P:

I teach AP Language and Composition, Advanced English II, and Senior English in a high school located in a poverty-stricken area of Tennessee.

At the moment, I have bathroom facing (that at one time had a sheen) nailed to what use to be chalk boards. My students love to visually see what I refer to but my approach to teaching has not worked well due to the lack of resources on hand.

I need a portable White board with the necessary components in order to teach to low-income students who are striving to take advanced classes. Students are driven to learn when a visual aid is used. I need to empower them and keep them thinking by letting them “see: what I am teaching.
