Sarah Palin, the carnivore

(via Kleinheider) I’m starting to see I have more and more in common with Sarah Palin.

According to a few book quotes in today’s L.A. Times blog, she loves meat, and so do I!

“If any vegans came over for dinner, I could whip them up a salad, then explain my philosophy on being a carnivore,” she wrote. “If God had not intended for us to eat animals, how come He made them out of meat?”

But the former Republican vice presidential candidate did not stop there.

“I love meat,” she writes. “I eat pork chops, thick bacon burgers, and the seared fatty edges of a medium-well-done steak. But I especially love moose and caribou. I always remind people from outside our state that there’s plenty of room for all Alaska’s animals — right next to the mashed potatoes.”

Here are a couple of other thoughts Sarah may want to ponder:

  • If God had not intended for us to shove his beautiful creation into a furnace for our selfish short term gains, how come He made it out of coal and oil?
  • If God had not intended for under-aged children to have sex and babies, how come He made them so sexy?
  • If God didn’t intend for us to go to war, then why did he make gunpowder explosive? (from @justwinston)
  • If God didn’t intend for us to use hallucinogens, why did he make them out of mushrooms? (from @savsul)

If God didn’t intend to us to read silly blog posts, why did He tell Al Gore to invent the Information Superhighway?

If God had not intended for there to be cannibals, how come he made us out of meat?

If God had not intended for us to eat people, why did He make them out of meet?
