Exploring Magma
I’m coming up on ten years of blogging here at ChristianGrantham.com (est. Dec. 29, 1999), and lately I’ve pondered what on Earth I’d think of the future if I could only read my more recent post titles if they were somehow magically sent to the past.
My future / today self would definitely add this post to the list. I’m not sure what my 1999 self would think besides the obvious: have they merged my stupid cell phone, PDA and laptop yet, or what do they call Napster now?
This morning I learned about Magma, a video curation and sharing platform created by the awesome folks at Rocketboom. It must be really cool to work for a company so focused on new media space.
I set up a Magma account shortly after editing this video clip together that shows you what the site can do. I’m going to play with it and see how it goes, but why do you think Google hasn’t already done this?
