Last night, Vince let me order a light kit for the studio I’m setting up in the media room. The green screen is already hung and in place. Last weekend we made a silly test video using the green screen with Vince talking about little shirts and several bags of different doggie treats he’s gone through so far with Mimi and Trudy.
My biggest challenge with our new HD video camera is that it really needs a lot of good lighting. To shoot the test video, I literally had to open all the windows and use a powerful hallogen flood and four other lamps. You can see it still wasn’t enough. I’ll post some pictures of where the studio is being set up later tonight.
Once the lights come in, one of the first things I want to shoot is Mimi and Trudy spending time with us in the evening. It’s pretty much the only time we have with them through the week, and seeing them fall asleep on Vince is the cutest thing ever.

Vince found a treat Mimi and Trudy respond to. The only problem is we had to go through about 5 different brands. While he was out Friday, he picked up a couple of shirts for the girls. They’ve been running around naked since Christmas.
I shot this using a green screen for the first time, so this was a good test. I clearly need to get way better lighting.

Vince just deleted the past two weeks of video I had scheduled to edit today, but he’s doing all he can to try to recover them. I may need to drink some Johnny Walker and escape in the Xbox Live all friggin’ day mowing down brats in Call of Duty 4. I’ll start from scratch tomorrow. I’m “SkyPath” if you’re on, but don’t get in my way.

Heather is going to die when she finds out her desk at work may have the cooties. I used her desk all week while she was gone. Heather uses those sanitizing gells and keeps her space clean to protect herself from cooties, so… yeah. I called in to warn the office that they should wipe down her desk before letting anyone use it after the doctor told me last night that I have community associated MRSA on my left forearm. See for yourself.
Staph and MRSA can also cause illness in persons outside of hospitals and healthcare facilities. MRSA infections that are acquired by persons who have not been recently (within the past year) hospitalized or had a medical procedure (such as dialysis, surgery, catheters) are know as CA-MRSA infections. Staph or MRSA infections in the community are usually manifested as skin infections, such as pimples and boils, and occur in otherwise healthy people.

Y’all, my blog turns 8 years old today! When it first started back in 1999, I was manually entering and archiving my entries like a fool until hearing about Movabletype. I used that for a while and then started using WordPress in 2006.
This site has meant so much to me. It’s been the source of so many wonderful opportunities over the past decade including introducing me to life long friends. Here is to another great year!

Good draft. Good drift. Good boosting. Vince bought a Heineken mini keg. After drinking a few bottles, we put this demo together to teach Americans how to properly use the 5-liter Heineken DraughtKeg. Nothing should keep you from your beer. Not even a stupid lever thingy.

Vince tries to escape with a warm bath, Hank Williams III and a Biore® Self-Heating Mask. Nice ring tone. Gaaaaahhhhh.
