The People’s Candidate
Have you ever wondered why both the Democrat and Republican parties tell average citizens that running for office is impossible without millions of dollars and the strong backing of well-monied PACs? The answer is simple.
Partisan politics is expensive. It cost money to con citizens into forgetting what government can do to make life better.
One of the largest expenses for candidates of both parties is preferred contractors that provide a myriad of campaign services. Expensive direct mail and ads in radio, TV and print are designed to overwhelm you with a partisan monologue.
Another large expense is the polling it takes to calibrate and target the partisan monologue to selected subsets of voters, very often to the exclusion of most voters.
Your voice matters less and less on this path, and this is the path both parties and their corporate and special interests prefer.
What if there was another way?
What if there was an independent candidate that didn’t spend time raising money for over-priced media and used technology to speak directly with you?
What if there was a candidate who refused to accept PAC money or meetings with lobbyists? What if there was a candidate who refused to meet with anyone other than real voters in their district and acted on what real voters said they want from government?
What if there was a candidate and a campaign who answered to no one but the people?
