A book project I’m working on

Providence favors a new order of the ages

I’m working on a book project with a good friend of mine, Jeff Moore, that will be released in the Fall of 2010.

As with most of the book, we’re still working on a title, but the project name is “110,” and Jeff has started a Facebook fanpage for the project I hope you will join.

The book will present a collection of writings from one of our founding fathers when he was a teenager, some of them illustrated by Jeff. There will be a print edition as well as digital versions for iPad and Kindle readers. It is a perfect gift for both young and old, political and apolitical.

The writings reflect a set of foundational principles that guided our nation through revolution, and if considered carefully can inspire the same today.

Our challenges as a nation are much greater than they were in a time when our passions were tempered by the care it took to communicate them in letters and in person. With 24 hour cable news, email and social media, our passions are finding like hearts and minds, sometimes for good and sometimes for ill.

“110″ will help promote a nation of mindful civility and remind us that without reason, our passions can undermine our conscience and lead to lawlessness and social tyranny.

Join our Facebook fanpage. Rediscover our nation’s character and help stoke the embers of civil conscience.
